The Bray Co. was established 17 years ago when, President and C.E.O., Thomas Bray, decided that the industry needed a more cost conscious and personalized solution for property management services. After spending 6 years as a vice president of a competing firm, The Bray Co. was founded. The Bray Co. gained its footing helping Investors find solid investment rental properties; maintaining and growing that investment by taking care of the day-to-day management of the asset at a below industry average cost. Through the years, the company has handled over $75,000,000 in investor acquisitions and dispositions. Today, The Bray Co. has grown to managing over 3,000 apartments and over 100 single family homes.
A Solid Foundation
With over 30 years of industry experience, Tom Bray has a strong financial background, along with excellent academic credentials. He purchased his first piece of investment real estate at 19 years old. Since his first acquisition, he and his wife, Rebecca, have continued to acquire additional apartments and homes.
He completed his undergraduate degree, with a concentration in Finance, at night, while working full-time at a local grocery store chain to support himself and fund his education. Upon completing his B.S. degree and studying for his M.B.A., he took his first professional job as a commercial lender for a regional bank. After completing his M.B.A., he began his investment real-estate career with a well-known property management company. While rising to Vice President and singly quadrupling the property management portfolio, he also served as an adjunct faculty member, teaching finance and investment classes, at a local community college. Teamed with his wife, the family managed and run business has established an excellent relationship with its investors, loyal employees and residents. This has allowed them to enjoy many long term relationships with their investors and staff, making them an industry leader on many levels.
